What I’m focused on
Last updated May 1, 2026
At work
Leading an RFI to redesign our supplier intake architecture around an orchestration layer rather than another point tool. Making the case — to senior sponsors who built the last generation of this stack — that the platform we choose now has to be AI-ready by design, not retrofitted later.
In the shop
Working through plans for a walnut office desk. Slower than I’d like; the hand-cut joinery is taking weekends I don’t always have.
On the road
Planning a longer ride for the fall. The cross-country trip last October left me wanting more time in the Appalachians.
On the page
Rereading the Meditations, working through a Camus biography, returning to the Bhagavad Gita for the third time and finding it different again.
At home
Sarah and I are mapping the next 6–12 years with more deliberation than feels comfortable. The point is to make the eventual transitions feel like arrivals, not escapes.
Inspired by Derek Sivers’ “Now Page”.
